Resonant Vibe was born from a shared commitment to youth, families, and community in the wake of unexpected change.

When Big Brothers Big Sisters Southern Lake Michigan Region closed its doors, it was devastating. There were tears from staff, parents, and mentors. The question we heard over and over was simple and urgent: “What can we do?”

 

As former staff, we had seen firsthand the power of mentorship. We witnessed the strength of long-standing relationships and the excitement of new ones just beginning to take shape. We heard parents share stories of mentors who listened, encouraged, and believed in their children—often becoming the first trusted adult outside of their family. We also felt the heartbreak of families realizing their younger children might never have that same opportunity. Mentors shared how the experience had changed them by seeing the extraordinary impact of simply showing up consistently for a young person.

 

We knew that the work could not end there.

 

Resonant Vibe emerged from that moment of collective heartbreak and resolve. More than a nonprofit, it is a movement that is rooted in connection, trust, and hope. We are dedicated to keeping mentorship alive and accessible for the youth and families who need it most. Our focus is relationship-based support that honors the voices of youth, strengthens families, and reinforces the fabric of our community.

 

We chose to act because these relationships matter. Because communities are stronger when children are supported. And because we couldn’t let something so meaningful simply fade away.

 

That commitment is the heartbeat of Resonant Vibe and it continues to guide everything we do.
