KATIE'S WHY

"My Why is rooted in the moments that stay with me — the child who finally felt safe enough to open up, the parent who said they could breathe easier knowing someone cared, the mentor who showed up week after week because they believed in a child’s future as much as I did.

I’ve spent my career witnessing the quiet power of consistency, compassion, and human connection. When Big Brothers Big Sisters closed, it felt like the ground shifted beneath families who depended on that support. I couldn’t walk away. I knew our community still needed us — the kids who were waiting, the parents carrying more than people realized, and the mentors who had more to give.

Resonant Vibe was born from that moment of both loss and clarity. My Why is to rebuild what was lost, but also to expand it — to create a place where children feel uplifted, parents feel empowered, and families feel surrounded by people who truly care. I believe relationships change lives, and I believe our community deserves a mentoring program built on dignity, trust, and the belief that every child can rise.

This work has changed me. It has made me more grateful, more grounded, and more committed than ever. My Why is — and always will be — the families who allow us into their lives, and the hope I see in every young person who deserves the chance to thrive."
